This week on Getting Real With the Housewives, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks gushes over season 17 newcomer K. Michelle, calling her absolutely hilarious and a bona fide, Grammy-winning vocal powerhouse — a rare Housewife who can actually hit the notes.

RHOA season 17 is mixing new faces with old tension, and Phaedra Parks just gave a very Phaedra download on all of it. She popped up on Getting Real With the Housewives and talked K. Michelle joining the cast, Pinky Cole stirring the pot, and where things stand with Angela Oakley after last season's mess.

K. Michelle shows up, mic on

Phaedra is genuinely into K. Michelle as a cast addition — not just for the personality, but because, as Phaedra put it, after years of Housewives who want to sing, they finally have one who actually does. She hyped K. Michelle as a legit, decorated vocalist — yes, she said Grammys — with real industry credits to back it up. Bottom line: Phaedra thinks K. Michelle is hilarious, talented, and the kind of presence who can literally clear a room with her voice, in a good way.

Pinky Cole vs Phaedra gets... specific

Slutty Vegan founder Pinky Cole (38) also jumped into RHOA this season, and Phaedra (52) clearly has a read on her vibe.

'She is a rambling TED Talk commercial at all times.'

The sparks are already flying. In the season 17 trailer, Pinky takes a shot at Phaedra's day job and says the licensed mortician 'eats dead people.' Yes, that is actually a line in the trailer. Phaedra's response was dry and immediate: the only crispy meat she eats is bacon, and that comes from pigs.

For context, Phaedra says she and Pinky have known each other in business circles for more than a decade. Despite the jabs, she calls Pinky very smart and thinks viewers will connect with the entrepreneurial energy she brings to the group.

Cleaning up last season: Angela Oakley

Remember season 16, when Angela Oakley accused Phaedra of orchestrating a messy setup with a man who publicly claimed Angela's husband, Charles Oakley, cheated? Phaedra denied having anything to do with it, but the accusation turned into a season-long headache that carried into the reunion.

According to Phaedra, that feud finally cools down in season 17. She says she and Angela turned a corner, and chalks some of the friction up to Angela being new last year — you come in guarded, you have assumptions, it happens. Now, Phaedra says they are in a different place and we will see that relationship evolve on camera.

One more bit of season-wide context: Porsha Williams has been calling season 17 a clean slate for herself after her divorce, and that checks out with where a lot of these dynamics seem to be headed — new faces, new alliances, and some overdue ceasefires.
