Ozzy Osbourne Has Six Kids — And Several Never Appeared on The Osbournes
Ozzy Osbourne’s family tree is larger than The Osbournes ever suggested, shaped by two marriages.
When MTV moved its cameras into the Osbournes’ Beverly Hills home in 2002, viewers met Sharon, Kelly and Jack — but three of Ozzy’s other kids were already grown and far from the spotlight. Across two marriages, the metal icon actually had six children, and only half of them became part of the TV phenomenon that followed.
- Elliot Kingsley — Ozzy adopted Elliot, Thelma Riley’s son, after they married in 1971. He has remained almost entirely out of public view.
- Jessica Osbourne — Ozzy’s eldest biological child with Thelma. Private life; mentioned on the show when Ozzy learned he’d become a grandfather after Jessica welcomed daughter Isabelle.
- Louis Osbourne — Also from Ozzy’s first marriage; UK-based DJ/producer and label owner who has largely avoided TV fame.
- Aimee Osbourne — Ozzy and Sharon’s eldest; chose not to appear on the series and later released music as ARO.
- Kelly Osbourne — Became a household name via The Osbournes; built a career in TV, music and fashion commentary; later welcomed a son with Slipknot’s Sid Wilson.
- Jack Osbourne — Transitioned from reality TV to paranormal shows like Portals to Hell and The Osbournes Want to Believe; he’s been open about recovery and living with multiple sclerosis.
Why Aimee said no
The biggest absence from the series was Aimee, Ozzy and Sharon’s first child together. She moved out as a teenager before filming began to avoid growing up on camera. Sharon later talked about that decision on CBS’s The Talk in 2018.
“She felt too that she didn’t want to grow up on camera. She hated the idea — it was appalling to her. And so she left at 16 and I regret every day that she did... It broke my heart when she moved.”
Aimee has said the choice gave her the privacy she needed to figure out who she was outside her family ’s fame. Instead of reality stardom, she pursued her own path in music as the synth-pop project ARO.
The kids you didn’t see
Ozzy’s first family with Thelma — Elliot, Jessica and Louis — grew up in England while he was becoming a global star with Black Sabbath in the ’70s. By the time The Osbournes launched (it ran four seasons on MTV), they were adults with lives far from the day-to-day chaos the show captured in Los Angeles. Elliot, especially, has stayed almost completely off the grid.
After MTV fame
Kelly parlayed the show into hosting gigs, music and fashion commentary, and has spoken candidly about addiction and sobriety. In her personal life, she and Slipknot musician Sid Wilson welcomed a son, Sidney. She later told People that the toddler loved crawling into bed with Ozzy and Sharon to watch cartoons — a quiet grandpa moment fans rarely associated with the Prince of Darkness.
Jack kept working in unscripted TV but shifted toward the paranormal, fronting series including Portals to Hell and The Osbournes Want to Believe. He’s a father of four, and has been public about recovery and his multiple sclerosis diagnosis.
Louis maintained a lower profile in the UK music scene as a DJ and producer. In the days before his father’s passing, he attended Ozzy’s farewell Black Sabbath performance and later called it “hugely emotional,” admitting he’d worried whether Ozzy would be well enough to take the stage.
A final family chapter
Backstage at that July 2025 farewell concert, Wilson proposed to Kelly, adding a family celebration to an already charged night. Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22, 2025, and the family gathered in Birmingham, England, for the procession — with Sharon joined by Kelly, Jack, Aimee and Louis.
