No Days Off: Lainey Wilson Marries Devlin Hodges Between Tour Stops
Between Stagecoach and the Academy of Country Music Awards, Lainey Wilson squeezed in her sweetest duet yet: a wedding. The 33-year-old country star married Devlin Duck Hodges on May 10 at Ruskin Cave in Dickson, Tennessee.
Lainey Wilson just pulled off the most Lainey Wilson move possible: between a Stagecoach headlining slot and the ACMs, she went and got married. Efficient. Romantic. Slightly wild.
The quick window
Wilson, 33, and retired Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Devlin 'Duck' Hodges, 30, made it official on May 10 at Ruskin Cave in Dickson, Tennessee. She squeezed the ceremony in between a 90-minute Stagecoach set in Indio, California (April 24) and the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards, where she rolled in with seven nominations, including Entertainer of the Year.
On the ACMs red carpet show on Sunday, May 17, she told cohosts Kelly Sutton and Amber Anderson they basically hunted for any opening in her calendar and took it. And then she dropped this very on-brand line:
'As long as I got my phone, my keys, my wallet, my man, I'm good.'
How they picked the cave (literally)
This part feels like a country song someone will absolutely write. She told Vogue on May 14 that the two of them were driving backroads in Tennessee when they saw a billboard for The Ruskin Cave. Duck asked, 'You wanna get married there?' She said, 'Done deal.' They stopped by, loved the place, and that was that. No overthinking — just a billboard, a cave, and a yes.
The look
Wilson ditched her signature bell bottoms and worked with stylist Alexandra Mandelkorn and the Oscar de la Renta team on a white gown embroidered with tiny Japanese cherry blossoms. She picked the blossoms for the meaning — live in the moment — which, considering the whole billboard-to-altar timeline, checks out.
The ceremony
They set up on a cobblestone ledge at the base of a waterfall, surrounded by friends and family. Her friend and mentor Wes Williams officiated. The scene was all spring soundtrack — water, birds, breeze — with Wilson arriving in a white horse-drawn carriage. She walked down the aisle with her dad — she calls him 'Deddy' — to meet Duck at the altar.
Backstory and what led here
Wilson and Hodges started dating in 2021 but didn't take it public until the ACMs in May 2023. They got engaged in February 2025. Cut to May 2026: she's headlining major festivals, racking up ACM nominations, and carving out a few hours to get married in a cave she spotted on a billboard. That's commitment to both the hustle and the romance.
