Their home base is Brooklyn, where Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys run a tight family operation with three kids and no wedding album. They’ve been together since about 2013–2014 and have said they simply haven’t gotten around to marriage, a status Russell has repeatedly signaled suits her just fine.

Russell and Rhys met properly while playing married Soviet spies on FX’s The Americans, which aired from 2013 to 2018. Russell has said she fell hard for him during those long, cold night shoots in season one; the two had actually crossed paths years earlier, including a 2002 kickball game Rhys has mentioned.
Russell separated from contractor Shane Deary in the summer of 2013 after their Valentine’s Day 2007 wedding; their divorce was finalized in 2014, and there’s no public evidence of overlap. Russell and Rhys then kept their new relationship quiet for about a year.
Their cover didn’t last. After a burglary at one of their Brooklyn residences, the NYPD returned stolen items to The Americans set — including a bag with Rhys’s name on it — and the handoff became instant set gossip. Not long after, the couple was spotted on dates, including at New York’s The Public Theater, and they acknowledged the relationship around 2014.
