Love Overboard Couples Update: Who’s Still Sailing Strong—and Who Jumped Ship?
Love Overboard set sail with luxe perks, brutal challenges, and plenty of sparks — after the March 26 premiere hosted by Gabby Windey, who’s still coupled up and who’s already sunk?
Hulu put a bunch of singles on a yacht, told them the fancy stuff comes with strings, and then made them vote on love. Messy? Absolutely. Entertaining? Also yes.
The premise (and the weird date math)
'Love Overboard' is hosted by Gabby Windey and follows singles hunting for a connection on open water. The pitch is basically: enjoy the yacht, but you have to earn the perks. The whole thing was shot in June 2025. The show premiered on a Wednesday, March 26 — which, if you are looking at a calendar, introduces some timeline gymnastics. Whatever the case, it is streaming now, so here we are.
How the endgame worked
Going into the penultimate episode, there were eight pairs. The twist: contestants had to vote on who they thought was the most compatible couple. Five couples were still in it — Tim and Gia, Lexi and James, Delaney and Keif, Christine and Jake, and David and Val — while three pairs were shown the gangway: Reece and Sofia, Enna and Andrew, and Leela and Koray.
The finale, in plain English
The last episode leaned hard into the strategic voting angle, plus one dramatic exit. Here is who did what:
- Delaney and Keif: self-eliminated before the final vote.
- James and Lexi: voted for David and Val.
- Tim and Gia: also voted for David and Val.
- David and Val: voted for Tim and Gia.
- Christine and Jake (a newer match): voted for themselves specifically to get off the ship.
When the dust settled, Gia and Tim had the edge and won over the other finalists — James and Lexi, and David and Val. The prize: a $100,000 trip around the world. Not cash in a suitcase, but a very fancy itinerary nonetheless.
Are Tim and Gia still together?
Short answer: unclear. They still follow each other on social and seem friendly, but neither has confirmed what they are right now. Your weekly status check remains inconclusive.
Val speaks up (kind of)
Val posted a note to Instagram after the finale and asked for some breathing room. The gist wasn’t cryptic so much as personal:
Hey everyone, I know there’s been a lot of curiosity about what happened after the show. I appreciate everyone’s interest, but I’m asking for my privacy while I process things in my own time. I’ll share my story when I’m ready, and on my terms. Until then, I hope we can all respect each other’s journeys without trying to sensationalize them. Thank you guys for all your love and support.
Gabby Windey’s approach as host
Before the premiere, Windey told Bustle she went full hype-woman for the contestants and tried to steer them away from the usual dating-show traps. She summed up her pep talks like this:
Girl, you’re so hot. Act like it. Make them work for it.
She also admitted she had favorites, even if she attempted to play it cool on camera. Did that poker face hold? Debatable.
Where to watch
'Love Overboard' is streaming now on Hulu. And yes, the synopsis really did say singles, not ingles — though the onboard drama sometimes needed subtitles.
