Love Is Blind alum Giannina Milady Gibelli isn’t racing to the altar with Blake Horstmann — their extra-long engagement is intentional, she revealed while stepping out at the Absolut Hottest Brunch: Desert Edition in Palm Springs.

Giannina Gibelli is not sprinting to the altar, and yeah, that slow roll is on purpose. While everyone keeps asking when she and Blake Horstmann will finally tie the knot, she made it clear during Coachella weekend that the long engagement was the plan all along.

'I know, it feels like we've been engaged forever. That was by design.'

She said it at the Absolut Hottest Brunch: Desert Edition in Palm Springs on Saturday, April 11, and it tracks given where she started. Back in 2020, Giannina (now 33) got engaged on Love Is Blind season 1 to Damian Powers. They made it to the big day, then didn't actually say 'I do.' She swears she's not haunted by that TV altar moment, but she does want this chapter to feel nothing like that one.

How they met (and why the wait)

Two years after Love Is Blind, she met Blake (36) filming Paramount+ show All Star Shore season 1. They got engaged in November 2024 and have been telling friends, family, and the internet that the wedding is getting closer. It is — just not on a five-week reality-show timeline. She wanted time to be picky about the venue and, you know, actually enjoy being engaged. She's loved the breathing room, but she's also very ready to call him her husband.

Where the wedding stands

They're keeping the ceremony details quiet, but here's what they will share: Giannina's bachelorette was in Amsterdam. The wedding will have a totally different vibe. It's a destination event, which Blake admits is a logistical headache, but he says planning is in a good place even if he's starting to feel the pressure. Translation: it's happening, they're just not blasting the when/where yet.

  • Met: All Star Shore season 1 (two years post-Love Is Blind)
  • Engaged: November 2024
  • Her takeaway post-LIB: make this wedding feel different, take their time
  • Bachelorette: Amsterdam
  • Wedding: destination, details under wraps, different vibe from the bach
  • Status: planning is solid; Blake's slightly stressed, both say they're in a good spot

Coachella pit stop (because life doesn't pause for planning)

They pressed pause on spreadsheets and seating charts to hit three days of Coachella in Indio. Between sets from Justin Bieber, Karol G, and Sabrina Carpenter, they tried the new Absolut Tabasco spicy vodka — the brand's pitch is that it balances heat and flavor — and Blake hopped in the booth at The Absolut Heat Haus on the festival grounds.

Blake, the DJ

He's been DJing officially for eight years and still does his annual Coachella run with Absolut. He's noticed a flood of new DJs lately and says good for them, but he and DJ Pauly D consider themselves early adopters of this particular lane. The Heat Haus setup is his sweet spot: an air-conditioned, high-energy dance party that he clearly loves throwing.
