The alleged tag after Spider- Man: Brand New Day doesn’t tee up an Avengers roll call so much as erase Peter Parker from the grid. According to circulating descriptions, Ned Leeds fires up the same Spider-Tracker from No Way Home and it glitches out—like Peter isn’t on Earth anymore. The button reportedly closes on a simple promise: “Spider-Man Will Return.” No mention of Avengers: Doomsday or Secret Wars.

Meanwhile, a premiere-night comment from musician Steve Lacy poured a little gasoline on the speculation. Asked about the film, he name-checked a character called Jean—touchy territory online because fans have been trying to pin down what, exactly, Sadie Sink is playing.

Lacy said on the carpet during an interview with Valkyrae. He then added, per the clip, that Jean is the villain but has a reason for what she does, before quickly walking it back and saying he just liked the character and didn’t really know why he put it that way.
