Kyle Richards isn’t the casting puppet master fans imagine. At The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15 reunion, Dorit Kemsley shut down the rumor, saying Richards doesn’t control who stays or goes.

If you still think Kyle Richards is the puppet master of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Part 3 of the season 15 reunion turned that rumor into a punchline. The episode aired Thursday, May 7 and packed in denials, digs, and a couple of truly chaotic Italy callbacks.

So, is Kyle pulling the strings?

Dorit Kemsley kicked it off by saying a lot of people assume Kyle has the power to boot anyone from the show. She even told Andy Cohen that Erika Jayne believes that too. Erika looked blindsided by that claim, which only made the whole thing messier.

Kathy Hilton could not stop laughing and cracked that her sister basically runs the network. Kyle took the rumor and leaned into the joke.

"Do you know how many people we would have gotten rid of a long time ago? Andy, you better watch your step."

To be clear: everyone said the power-trip story is not true.

Wait, what about Camille?

Yes, former RHOBH star Camille Grammer got dragged into this. Jennifer Tilly (yes, that Jennifer Tilly) asked if Camille once claimed Kyle got her blackballed. Kyle shot that down fast. Dorit piled on with a pointed aside that if Kyle actually had that kind of pull, Dorit would not still be here. Subtle, it was not.

Why Kyle, Dorit, and Erika are even fighting

The Kyle-Dorit friendship fracture didn’t come out of nowhere, and Erika’s beef with Dorit has its own lane. Here’s the quick version:

  • Season 13: Kyle and Dorit’s friendship cooled off.
  • July 2023: Kyle separated from Mauricio Umansky.
  • May 2024: Dorit and PK Kemsley separated.
  • April episode (Italy trip): Dorit left Kyle and Erika stranded, which turned into a dinner blow-up later. Kyle and Erika said the whole cast had issues with Dorit’s chronic lateness but wouldn’t say it to her face; Erika prodded them to speak up and stop being "cowardly lions." Rachel Zoe defended Dorit, saying she was "going through a f*** ton." Erika bristled and snapped back that she’s "going to trial" and that "My husband went to prison," then shut down the idea of playing the "pain Olympics."
  • Reunion Part 3 (Thursday, May 7): Erika said what really stung was Dorit suggesting in Italy that Erika picked a fight just to protect her spot on the show. Erika called that accusation sad.

The vibe at the end

The reunion didn’t solve the Kyle-Dorit-Erika triangle, but it did make one thing pretty obvious: Kyle is not deciding who gets to hold a diamond. The women joked about it, denied it, and moved on to their real problem — each other.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15 is now streaming on Peacock.
