King of the Hill returns to Arlen later this summer, with Hulu finally setting the date for a new season after the revival’s warmly received comeback nearly two decades after the classic run.

King of the Hill is not done sipping beers on the curb just yet. Hulu has locked in the next batch of revival episodes for this summer, and there are a couple of interesting clues in the new art that longtime fans will clock immediately.

Release date, renewal, the whole picture

Hulu will premiere King of the Hill Season 15 on July 20, 2026. The revival has been a legit hit for the streamer since it came back last year, enough that Hulu went ahead and ordered three more seasons in one swoop: the upcoming Season 15, plus Seasons 16 and 17 after that.

If you watched the revival run that kicked off last year (10 episodes), expect a similar-sized drop this time.

What Season 15 is actually about

Hank and Peggy are easing into retirement life on Rainey Street and trying (as always) to keep their neighbors from going off the rails. Meanwhile, Bobby is juggling old friendships with the fun new stress of being an entrepreneur.

In other words, they are picking up the threads the revival started: the Hills figuring out who they are in this next phase, while Arlen stays… very Arlen.

The new poster has tells

Hulu also dropped a first-look poster, and it is quietly loud about two things:

  • Premiere: July 20, 2026 on Hulu; expect roughly 10 episodes, same as last year.
  • The revival remains one of Hulu's strongest recent nostalgia plays, which is why Seasons 16 and 17 are already in the pipeline.
  • Kahn Souphanousinphone is featured more prominently. He was recast for the revival and only showed up in a single episode last season, which felt off given how central he is to the show. The art screams: more Kahn ahead.
  • Boomhauer is surrounded by chickens. Last season he wandered into a hog-shooting venture; the poultry feels like the next oddball scheme.
  • Luanne update still MIA. Season 14 did not reference Luanne (or Lucky) at all. Before the revival premiered, the team said they had a way to honor Luanne after Brittany Murphy's passing, but we have not seen that tribute yet.
  • About that: the poster tucks in Big Tex in the background — the Texas fair icon tied to Season 8's 'Girl, You' ll Be a Giant Soon,' one of Luanne's standout stories. That could be the perfect on-ramp for Hank to reflect and, finally, for the show to address where Luanne is now. To be clear, that is an educated guess based on the art, not a confirmation.

Bottom line

New King of the Hill lands July 20. The Hills are retired, Bobby is hustling, Kahn looks poised for a proper comeback, and the show might finally tackle the Luanne-shaped hole it left last year. Feels like a strong follow-up to a revival that actually justified its return.
