Kim Kardashian’s Hollywood dream stays out of reach: “Reality TV isn’t Walk of Fame worthy”
Kim Kardashian may rule reality TV and business, but a surprising confession might explain why one coveted Hollywood honor keeps dodging her.
On a recent episode of The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian said she’d been angling for a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame only to learn why the answer keeps being no.
“But I've never qualified because like reality TV isn't walk of Star worthy,” she explained.
She punctuated the point with a pop-culture curveball.
“I mean Lassie has one, Miss Piggy has one. I'd like one, it would be nice,” Kardashian said.
She’s not wrong on the trivia: Lassie got a star back in 1960, and Miss Piggy shares the honor given to The Muppets in 2012.
The Walk of Fame has long been picky about categories. In 2011, representatives publicly brushed off reality stars. The current nomination criteria call for professional achievement, at least five years of work in a specific entertainment field, community contributions, and a commitment to show up for the ceremony.

Kardashian’s next move could be the kind of credit that changes that conversation. She’s leading and producing the Netflix ensemble comedy The Fifth Wheel, directed by Eva Longoria, about a girls’ trip to Las Vegas that goes sideways when Kardashian’s outsider crashes the reunion.

Netflix shared production photos in January 2026 , confirming cameras are rolling. The streamer still lists the film as “coming soon,” with no premiere date announced.
Separately, French network Canal+ has ordered a four-part docuseries, Kim, the Diamond and the Grandpa Robbers, about Kardashian’s 2016 Paris robbery; she’s reportedly not involved. No U.S. release details have been announced.
