Kids Grill Tom Holland Over His Marvel Spoilers in Hilarious Video
Tom Holland found himself on the receiving end of a merciless roasting from New York City kids — and they absolutely went for him.
A classroom full of New York City kids didn’t waste time going straight for Tom Holland ’s soft spot: his reputation for Marvel spoilers. During an appearance on the kid-led interview series Celebrity Substitute, one student asked if he’s a good actor. Before Holland could answer, another jumped in with a blunt review.
“Well, he spoils everything.”
Host Julian Shapiro-Barnum called the jab “mean,” but also conceded the kid wasn’t exactly wrong. Holland laughed it off and, a few questions later, almost found himself in familiar danger when a student pressed him on whether Tobey Maguire would pop up in a future Spider- Man movie. This time, he successfully sidestepped any reveal.
Kids ask what adults won’t
The interrogation didn’t stop at plot twists. A student named Victor asked Holland point-blank if he’s married. Holland paused, called it an “important question,” and then leaned into the moment.
“I am.”
He followed it with a wink at the difference between publicists and grade-schoolers:
“You guys obviously haven’t been media trained like the publicists that I speak with.”
Another kid, Kayson, asked if he takes Zendaya on dates. Holland said he does and called it his favorite thing to do.

Holland’s been candid over the years about accidentally letting Marvel secrets slip. The students had receipts, and so does the internet. Among the greatest hits:
