Head-to-toe British designer look for Meghan Markle’s U.K. return — plus a royal debut nod
On her UK visit, Meghan Markle stepped out in head-to-toe British labels—complete with a quiet nod to royal dressing you might miss at first glance.
Stepping out in Nottingham on October 15, Meghan Markle kept things sleek and very British: a deep burgundy coat and matching turtleneck from Joseph, a tailored skirt from The Fold London, and sky-high pumps by Jennifer Chamandi. The look leaned into rich fall color and clean lines, finished with a simple ponytail that let the outfit do the talking.

A quiet callback to 2017
The label choice wasn’t random. Markle also wore Joseph for her first official royal engagement—in the same city—on December 1, 2017, just days after she and Prince Harry announced their engagement. Returning to Nottingham in Joseph again reads as a neat full-circle nod to the start of their public life together.
Back in Nottingham
The visit doubled as the couple’s first official joint engagement since they returned to the U.K. in August with their children, Archie and Lilibet. They arrived to cheers from around 100 well-wishers, stopping to greet people and chat with schoolkids outside their first stop.
Markle reportedly told one person:
It ’s great to be back.
When another well-wisher showed her a photo from the couple’s 2017 Nottingham visit, she smiled and said:
That’s so special.
The day began at the Community Recording Studio, a Nottingham charity founded in 1991 that gives young people access to music and recording facilities, mentoring, and other creative programs.
