Halloween Saturday Night Live falls under Inde Navarrette’s spell, with Grace Reiter joining
Inde Navarrette and Grace Reiter team up in a hilarious Saturday Night Live video — a pairing you’ll want to see for yourself.
In the new Halloween-week promo, Saturday Night Live hands Inde Navarrette a perfectly spooky setup. Standing beside comedian Grace Reiter, Navarrette runs through her host intro, then cheerfully wishes everyone a “happy Valentine’s Day.” When Reiter reminds her it ’s Halloween, Navarrette deadpans that her hit movie Obsession is “a rom-com” — and then slips into the icy voice of her character Nikki.
- Navarrette practices her SNL intro; Reiter asks if she’s scared for Halloween.
- A sudden bang rattles the set; Reiter instinctively clings to Navarrette, who plays it cool.
- After a few tries, the “final take” clicks once Navarrette channels Nikki from Obsession.
- Navarrette wishes viewers a happy Valentine’s Day; Reiter corrects her; Navarrette calls Obsession a rom-com and drops Nikki’s signature line.
“No no don’t do that,”
The wink lands like a mini jump scare — Reiter goes wide-eyed and lets the “host” have the last word.
From Obsession to Studio 8H
Navarrette’s Nikki in Obsession has been a breakout turn, and she’s been open about using its momentum to push for meatier parts. On The Kyle Buchanan Show, she said she doesn’t want to be valued only for her looks; playing Nikki let her explore new territory, and the film ’s success brought a fresh wave of offers.
She won’t be alone onstage: musical guest Gracie Abrams joins her for the Halloween episode. Saturday Night Live airs live at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT on NBC and streams on Peacock.
