Sex after 60? The Golden Bachelor’s Kathy Swarts, 72, and Joan Vassos, 63, say their libidos haven’t missed a beat — and they’re spilling all on iHeartRadio’s I Do, Part 2.

File this under: reality TV alums saying the quiet part out loud. Two of The Golden Bachelor standouts, Kathy Swarts and Joan Vassos, hopped on iHeartRadio's 'I Do, Part 2' podcast on Saturday, March 28, and got very frank about sex after 60, dating dynamics that don’t magically improve with age, and yes, sex toys. It ’s candid, a little surprising in spots, and pretty refreshing.

Sex drive at 60-plus? Still a thing

'I haven't lost my sex drive... You haven't lost yours.'

That was Kathy, 72, tossing the first pitch, with Joan, 63, backing her up. Joan’s take was a little more clinical: in long marriages, intimacy can slide down the priority list while life piles up, and once that switch gets flipped, it’s tough to turn it back on. Not exactly scandalous, but it’s not something people usually say out loud on a mic.

Kathy vs. her friend group: different playbooks

Kathy, still single after appearing on The Golden Bachelor in 2023, says plenty of her girlfriends are done with intimacy altogether. She keeps hearing some version of: after kids, they’ve got family, friends, a tennis team, and zero interest in sex. Kathy’s response is basically, good for you, but that’s not me. She’s dating, she’s open to sleeping with someone she actually likes, and she jokes she’s not exactly hanging a sign out front to invite the masses. She admits it makes her feel like the odd one out.

Older daters, same old 'f-boys'

Joan — who first showed up on The Golden Bachelor in 2023 and then led The Golden Bachelorette in 2024 — brought up a term you don’t usually associate with AARP mailers: 'f*** boys.' Translation: dudes focused on sex first, relationship second. Both women say they’ve run into that vibe.

Joan’s most recent example was just two weeks ago: a 30-year-old hit on her and tried to angle his way up to her hotel room. She shut that down immediately — not a small detail considering she’s engaged to Chock Chapple, one of her Golden Bachelorette contestants.

Kathy’s gotten the straight-to-the-point asks too. She’s had men come right out with 'you want to just have sex?' It’s a no from her — polite thanks for the candor, but still a no.

Let’s talk toys

Before they wrapped, the conversation pivoted to sex toys. Joan says she hasn’t tried them. Kathy, on the other hand, says she recently learned there’s a whole lane of intimacy partners can explore together with toys — different from the standard playbook, and potentially a good one.

  • Who: Kathy Swarts (72), Joan Vassos (63), both from The Golden Bachelor (2023); Joan later led The Golden Bachelorette (2024) and is now engaged to her contestant Chock Chapple.
  • Where: iHeartRadio's 'I Do, Part 2' podcast.
  • When: Saturday, March 28 episode.
  • What they covered: still having a sex drive after 60; why long marriages can lose steam; Kathy feeling like the minority among friends who are over sex; run-ins with older (and younger) men who just want the hookup; and a quick, pragmatic note on sex toys as another form of intimacy.
