Jeremy Renner is diving into London’s underworld for a new action thriller, with the John Wick producers behind it — cue the carnage.

Jeremy Renner is set to lead 12 Bullets, a lean, high-stakes thriller that drops a lone American into the middle of a turf war ripping through London’s criminal underworld. The hook is simple and mean: he’s got one gun, just 12 rounds, and an entire city of gangsters between him and a way out.

One man. One gun. Twelve rounds to survive London’s underworld.

Who’s making it

  • Sean Ellis (Anthropoid) — director
  • Tim Walker — screenwriter
  • Thunder Road (the company behind John Wick ) — producer
  • Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee — producers for Thunder Road
  • Sky — co-developer; film will debut as a Sky Original in the UK and Ireland
  • Legendary’s label 193 — launching international sales at the American Film Market in Los Angeles
  • CAA Media Finance — representing North American rights

It’s a lane Renner knows well. Between franchise work and darker crime stories, he’s built a résumé that runs from The Hurt Locker and The Town to Wind River and The Bourne Legacy. On TV, he last suited up as Clint Barton in Marvel ’s 2021 Disney+ series Hawkeye and currently stars in Paramount+ ’s Mayor of Kingstown.

Release plan

The movie will roll out as a Sky Original in the UK and Ireland. U.S. distribution is still to be set, with North American rights in play and international sales kicking off at AFM in Los Angeles. No release date has been announced.
