Everything we know about Netflix’s Minimum Wage: release date, plot, cast
Clock in, because Netflix’s upcoming mockumentary about teen workers has a release set—and the workplace chaos is already primed to blow.
The chaos is concentrated at Slice Club, a small-town pizza joint that’s circling the drain while a gaggle of teenage employees try increasingly bonkers schemes to keep it alive. The trailer shows a disastrous “valet” idea, a car somehow ending up in a lake, a sketchy freezer experiment, and — yes — a parking-lot fight club. Keeping the ovens hot looks easier than keeping the doors open.
Shot like a low-stakes workplace doc, Minimum Wage leans into short, punchy episodes — about 12 and a half minutes each — that feel like security- cam footage with group-chat energy. The shop’s future hangs on the whims of its eccentric owner, and the kids wind up pleading for the business as much as they’re serving slices. It sits comfortably alongside Netflix ’s mock-doc mischief tradition while carving out a snack-size format of its own.
The show spins out of American High Shorts, whose original Minimum Wage sketches racked up more than 30 million views across social platforms. Jeremy Garelick and Will Phelps shepherd the Netflix version, keeping the frantic, bite-sized pace intact.
