Emmys 2026 dream: Sally Field, Colman Domingo manifest a team-up — 'make it happen'
Two Emmy-winning actors are eyeing a team-up on a project, and the pairing has serious marquee wattage.
On the floor of the 2026 Primetime Emmy Awards at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, cameras caught a sweet mic’d-up moment between Colman Domingo and Sally Field. As their chat wrapped and Domingo started to move along, Field jumped in to say she wants to work with him — even if it ’s just a tiny part — prompting Domingo to turn straight to the lens and rally anyone listening.
"You heard it. Sally Field, Colman Domingo, make it happen," Domingo said.
Field even cracked that she’d happily play “a cleaner” if it got her onto a set with him. The two also reminisced about the time they teamed up for a reading of a Tony Kushner play, trading compliments as Field urged Domingo to keep piling on the projects and Domingo said he wants to see even more of her on screen.

Field’s record-setting night
Later in the ceremony, Field won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for her performance in Netflix ’s Remarkably Bright Creatures.
"I have been so grateful and so proud to be a part of this community — the arts — for 62 years or something," she said on stage.
With the win, Field became the oldest actress to take that category, surpassing Jessica Tandy. At 79, she hit another milestone, too: it was her 10th Emmy nomination and fourth win.
