Dragon Ball Super: Beerus joins Netflix’s anime lineup
Goku’s in trouble, and Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is the one you need to know now.
Instead of a straight remaster, Dragon Ball Super: Beerus has been rebuilt from the ground up. Toei Animation says the project folds in newly added cuts and redrawn scenes, refreshed visuals, a newly recorded dub with additional music and sound effects, and a reworked storyline that reframes the early Super saga around Beerus and then continues into later arcs.
Story-wise, we’re a few years past Majin Buu’s defeat when Beerus — the God of Destruction — wakes from a long sleep, hears there’s a Saiyan who toppled Frieza, and heads to Earth looking for a fight. That chase sets up Goku’s transformation into Super Saiyan God and the showdown with Beerus, before the enhanced edition pushes ahead into the Resurrection F and Universe 6 arcs.
What’s new in this cut
