Dancing With the Stars turns tender as Tyler Cameron announces fiancée Tate Madden’s pregnancy
On Dancing With the Stars, Tyler Cameron shared a heartfelt life update about fiancée Tate Madden—and it’s very good news.
After a contemporary routine with pro partner Sharna Burgess set to Ed Sheeran’s “Supermarket Flowers” on Dancing with the Stars’ Dedication Night, Tyler Cameron learned his first child with fiancée Tate Madden is a girl — and he shared it in the ballroom, live on air on Oct. 22.
“I get to be a girl dad. What a gift, what an opportunity.”
The dance was dedicated to mothers — including Cameron’s late mom, Andrea, who died in March 2020 — folding the family news into an already emotional night for the former Bachelor Nation favorite.
Speaking to PEOPLE after the broadcast, Cameron said the baby news is already reshaping their world.
“It’s going to change everything in our lives.”
Madden told the outlet she took a pregnancy test the night the couple returned from getting engaged. Soon after, they relocated to Los Angeles for Cameron’s run on season 35, and rehearsals meant he couldn’t make the ultrasound appointment. She later carried the scan to New York City so he could see it; that photo, he said, made it feel real.
The pair kept the pregnancy mostly under wraps to time the reveal with Dedication Night — the week Cameron hoped to reach so he could honor his mom on the dance floor and share the news at once.
Kardashian wants back in
Kim Kardashian says she’s up for another spin in the ballroom, 18 years after her only season. On Jimmy Kimmel Live!, she asked if the show ever brings people back; Kimmel told her it does. Kardashian competed on season 7 in 2008 with partner Mark Ballas and finished 11th. The series has run 35 seasons with only one All-Stars edition — won by Melissa Rycroft in 2012.
She recalled crying in her trailer nightly during that 2008 stint and praying to be eliminated, and says she hasn’t danced since. At a family poker night three weeks ago, Kylie Jenner put Kardashian’s old routine up on a big screen; Kardashian remembered a few moves and even pitched a full Kardashian–Jenner season, noting brother Rob Kardashian was runner-up on season 13.
As for a return, Kardashian told Kimmel she’d do it again — if the show invites her.
