Clear your queue: Netflix arrival date set for Taylor Sheridan’s five-season, fan-favorite crime drama
Netflix is about to add a famous Taylor Sheridan series to its lineup—care to guess which one?
Starting October 5, 2026 , Netflix is adding every episode of Mayor of Kingstown to its library — the first time Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon’s prison-town crime drama will stream on the platform. The move comes via a licensing deal with Paramount , giving Netflix subscribers a one-stop way to catch up on all four seasons before the show’s run wraps.
All four seasons hit Netflix on October 5, 2026.
The show and who’s in it
Set in a fictional Michigan city where incarceration is the main industry, the series follows the McLusky family as power brokers navigating politics, law enforcement, and the prison system. Jeremy Renner stars as fixer Michael McLusky. The show premiered in 2021 and has grown into one of Sheridan’s most-watched dramas.

More from the deal
Netflix’s pact with Paramount is also bringing several other TV staples and newcomers to the service. Among the titles slated to land:
- SEAL Team
- Watson
- Matlock

Season 5 status
Season 5 of Mayor of Kingstown was greenlit in January and, according to reports, filmed from March through July 2026. Co-creators Sheridan and Dillon have designated it the show’s final season, with a new character entering the picture and threatening to expose Mike’s secrets — a shake-up that endangers the fragile balance in Kingstown.
There’s no premiere date yet for Season 5, but reports indicate it could arrive in late 2026 or sometime in 2027.
