Ciara Miller Is on a Mission to Land This DWTS Pro Partner
Ciara Miller already has a dream partner for Dancing With the Stars season 35 — and she’s campaigning for Val Chmerkovskiy, even firing off emails after hinting at her pick on the Met Gala livestream.
Ciara Miller is not easing into Dancing With the Stars season 35. She is already lobbying for her dream partner, mapping out the dances she wants, and doing all of it while the Summer House drama machine is still spinning at full speed.
The partner campaign: Ciara wants Val
Speaking to E! News during the Met Gala livestream on Monday, May 4, Miller, 30, said she has been pushing for Val Chmerkovskiy as her pro. Not quietly either — think emails, nudges, the whole thing — with a very polite we will see where production puts me energy. She also actually stuck to the Met Gala theme this year, Costume Art, which feels worth noting since plenty of people did not.
"I want someone who is hard on me. Like, 'You got to get this down.' We would have to work so hard. I do not want any funny games. We are in there to work!"
What she wants to dance (and why the Bridgerton talk)
Miller has a wish list ready: the Cha Cha for fun, a classic waltz because she is genuinely excited for it, and yes, the humble box step — because she wants that Regency-core moment. She literally said she wants to live her Bridgerton fantasy on the ballroom floor. Fair.
She has receipts: 10 years of ballet
None of this is coming out of nowhere. When rumors popped up last year that she might join DWTS season 34, Miller told Us Weekly in 2025 that she grew up dancing and did a decade of ballet. Translation: she knows what she is doing and wants a partner who will push her.
Back to Val for a second: he finished runner-up in season 34 with influencer Alix Earle. The Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy went to wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin and pro Witney Carson in 2025. So if Ciara lands Val, that is a proven contender.
Official casting and when to watch
Hulu announced in April, during its Get Real House event, that Miller and Love Island alum Maura Higgins are competing on season 35 — and confirmed the show’s renewal while they were at it. Dancing With the Stars returns this fall on ABC and Disney+, with episodes streaming the next day on Hulu.
Meanwhile, over on Summer House...
Because timing is always theatrical, all this hits while Miller’s ex West Wilson and her best friend Amanda Batula are newly dating. The season 10 reunion — filmed in April — is set to dig into it. Leaked audio from the taping makes it sound like Miller confronted Wilson, 31, and Batula, 34, about the relationship. Messy? Absolutely. Will it make for gripping Monday-night TV when she is also competing live? Also yes.
