Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden Welcome Baby No. 3 — Meet Their Newest Little Star

Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden just added baby No. 3 to their crew, and yes, the name is very on-brand for them: Nautas. Benji dropped the news on Instagram early Monday, May 4, with a post that leaned into a One Piece vibe and a whole lot of family pride.

The name, the post, the vibe

Madden, 47, announced that he and Diaz, 53, welcomed a baby boy named Nautas Madden. He called the family happy, excited, and blessed, and said life at home is good: kids healthy, kids happy, parents grateful. Diaz slid into the comments with a burst of hearts, which feels exactly right.

He also explained the name: it riffs on the Latin word "nauta" — sailor, navigator, voyager — and came with a little mission statement for the kid.

"One who embarks on a journey and fears not the unknown."

Their growing family (and the no-photos policy)

Diaz and Madden already share daughter Raddix, 6, and son Cardinal, 2. If you’re sensing a theme with the names, you’re not wrong — distinctive, a little adventurous, clearly intentional.

When they announced Cardinal’s arrival back in March 2024, they made it clear they wouldn’t be posting photos of the kids for safety and privacy. Expect the same low-profile approach here.

Diaz on parenting and picking projects

Diaz eased back into acting with Netflix ’s Back in Action after a decade away, and in January 2025 she said becoming a mom changed how she makes career decisions.

"You’re a different person after you have children, after marriage, after building a life. For me, I never made a movie before with a family. So all of the boxes change. Family is the priority, and everything else has to line up to support that."
