Brooke Shields’ Record-Breaking Series Just Scored a Season 2 Renewal
Brooke Shields is back on the case as Acorn TV renews its murder mystery thriller for Season 2.
Brooke Shields is not done sleuthing. Acorn TV has already ordered a second season of her murder-mystery thriller 'Youre Killing Me' — and they did it before Season 1 even wraps. Bold move, but the numbers back it up.
Season 2 is a go (yes, already)
Shields announced the renewal onstage at the ATX Television Festival in Austin, sitting alongside co-star Amalia Williamson. AMC Studios president Dan McDermott says the show is the biggest series launch in Acorn TV history, which explains the fast track. Cameras are expected to roll later this year.
'Im thrilled to be collaborating once again with the talented Robin Bernheim, and having the opportunity to act opposite Amalia Williamson and Tom Cavanagh has been a dream. I promise we will continue to deliver the show you all fell in love with... even if it kills me.'
Where Season 1 stands right now
The first season runs six episodes, with the finale landing June 22, 2026. The setup: Shields plays Allison 'Allie' Chandler, a bestselling author who heads to Founders Cove, Maine, and teams up with Andrea 'Andi' Walker (Williamson), an ambitious podcaster, to dig into the murder of a close friend. Theyre an odd-couple pairing — different instincts, different skill sets — but the combo works. Tom Cavanagh rounds things out as Detective Jack Kerrigan. Also in the mix: Laura Kohoot, Gabriel Burrafato, Dylan Bailey, and Kate Drummond.
Acorn TV even teased a recent chapter on May 24 with a wedding that goes sideways — the kind of case-of-the-week hook this show likes to dress up with real stakes.

Meanwhile on Netflix: another teen sleuth is back
If youre into layered whodunits, Netflix just dropped Season 2 of 'A Good Girls Guide to Murder.' Season 1 (from 2024) tracked the disappearance of Andie Bell. More than a year later, Pip is back on the case — this time digging into the disappearance of Jamie Reynolds, a key witness tied to Max Hastings trial. Emma Myers returns as Pip Fitz-Amobi, with Zain Iqbal back as Ravi Singh; Henry Ashton, Jude Morgan-Collie, Asha Banks, Yali Topol Margalith, and Eden H. Davies also star. All six episodes are up now, as Netflix reminded everyone on May 27.
Point is, mystery TV is having a moment. 'Youre Killing Me' will be back for more — and based on the early win streak, Acorn is clearly all-in.
