Brittany Snow and Dermot Mulroney among The Hunting Wives Season 2 cast

The new run picks up with Sophie O’Neil and Margo Banks on opposite sides of Maple Brook after the scorched-earth fallout of last season. Long-buried secrets won’t stay buried for long, though, and the rivals-turned-allies are forced back into each other’s orbit as fresh enemies close in on their East Texas world.

Season 1 put Sophie — a Boston transplant trying to reboot her life — in the crosshairs when teenager Abby was found murdered with Sophie’s missing gun. As Sophie and Margo dug into the case, affairs and small-town power plays spilled into the open, and the truth about Margo’s role in Abby’s death finally surfaced, leaving Sophie tangled in guilt and lies.

Season 2 pushes past May Cobb’s novel — the story now moves into original territory for the show.
