Ellie Dubaich drops a jaw-dropping flex on Below Deck Down Under, claiming she once worked as a massage therapist for Russia’s richest person—and revealing her go-to move to win men over is, naturally, a massage—while keeping the mystery mogul’s name off-limits.

Below Deck Down Under season 4 keeps finding new ways to stir the pot. On the April 6 episode, new stew Ellie Dubaich casually dropped a brag that turned a few heads, made a move on one crewmate, and then lit a fuse with two others off camera. Efficient!

Ellie shows her cards

'My way of winning a man over is with a massage.'

Ellie says she used to be the personal massage therapist for what she calls the richest person in Russia. Names are off-limits, she adds, because of NDAs. Bold flex either way. She also put those skills to work on board, making a play for bosun Joao Franco. The two later shared a kiss, even as Joao was telling people he was actually interested in chief stew Daisy Kelliher.

Daisy and Joao, clarified

Before season 4 even aired, Daisy told Us in January that whatever spark she and Joao have on camera is exactly what it looks like: a brief boat fling that builds slowly later in the season, not especially deep, but fun while it lasts. She also basically said it would not feel like a season of the show if she did not end up making out with someone. Points for consistency.

The offscreen rift Ellie did not see coming

In March, Ellie told Us she was surprised to find herself on the outs with Daisy and fellow stew Jenna Woudberg after filming wrapped. The way she explains it: after stew Joe Caron left, she got a call and was on track to move up to second stew because Captain Jason Chambers wanted the most experienced leadership team possible. To underscore that, Ellie notes she has been working at sea since 2016 and says that back then Jenna was in third grade. She insists that is not a dig, just a fact. It definitely lands like a dig, intentional or not.

Ellie says Captain Jason asked her to change roles and she was happy to do it, and she was ultimately fine with how things shook out. What stung, she says, was how Daisy and Jenna reacted. She calls their response mean-spirited and unnecessary, and thinks viewers will see that attitude toward her play out this season. As for Daisy specifically, Ellie frames it as a one-sided thing: she says she does not have an issue with Daisy, but Daisy just does not seem to like her for reasons Ellie cannot pin down. We will apparently watch that evolve on screen.
