What she has said about the baby, the prep, and the plan

Back in December, when she was nearing the halfway point of her pregnancy, Candice told Us Weekly she and Steven had been daydreaming about this for a while and were basically celebrating every checkup along the way. The priority was simple: healthy mom, healthy baby.

She also made it clear motherhood is her favorite role, and she credited Steven for already being a steady, everyday presence as a partner and stepdad to her girls — a preview of the dad he would be. At home, her daughters were all-in from the jump. When they told the kids a baby was coming, her then-5-year-old immediately tried to claim ownership. This is a kid who will cause a scene at a restaurant just to hang with a stranger's infant a few tables over. So, yeah, enthusiasm levels were high. Lots of laughs, and according to Candice, plenty more to come.

About that wedding

While they were waiting on the baby, Candice admitted she is very type A but tried not to overplan the wedding. The vibe was: keep it special, keep it low-stress, keep her health first. They had their own little ideas for the day and were excited to celebrate with friends and family when the timing made sense. And then they quietly did exactly that in February.

Short version: engaged, baby on the way, low-drama wedding, now a healthy son named Arlo. Clean rollout.
