Before you roll your eyes, consider this: Marvel Studios and DC Studios might actually be edging toward a historic crossover.

The viral “Avengers vs. Justice League” headline that rocketed around social this week didn’t come from either studio. It started with Havoc Crave, a parody account, which posted that Marvel Studios and DC Studios were in talks for a live-action crossover. There’s no announcement, no confirmation and no evidence from either company that such a movie is happening.

Comic-book crossovers between the two universes do exist — the classic Superman vs. The Amazing Spider- Man team-up among them — but nothing like that has ever made it to a live-action film. As of now, there’s nothing official tying the Marvel Cinematic Universe to DC’s film slate.

The “Avengers vs. Justice League” post originated on a parody account — not from Marvel or DC.
  • The claim came from Havoc Crave, a parody feed, not a studio source.
  • Neither Marvel Studios nor DC Studios has announced or even acknowledged talks about a live-action crossover.
  • Crossovers have happened in comics, but there’s been no live-action Marvel/DC movie to date.

For now, the big mash-up to watch is still inside Marvel’s own sandbox. The upcoming Avengers: Doomsday is expected to pull in characters from the Fantastic Four , the X-Men and more — a mega-team-up that stays strictly MCU.

Secret Wars timing

Separately, Avengers: Secret Wars may be shifting its production calendar again. Industry watcher Daniel Richtman has reported that filming, previously expected to start in November, could slide to February 2027. Marvel hasn’t commented or confirmed any change.

The movie is currently dated for December 2027, and further production delays could push it into 2028 — but for now, that timing chatter remains unconfirmed rumor. The film is still on the calendar for December 2027.
