With the industry in flux, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s entertainment ventures are drawing fresh scrutiny — leaving you to wonder what their next Hollywood chapter looks like.

Two book-to-screen projects Harry and Meghan set up at Netflix are still stuck in development, with little visible movement since the spring, according to a Nov. 4 report from Page Six. At the same time, the couple has their next public outing on the calendar — and it ’s not in the U.K.

Where the Netflix slate stands

Per the report, neither of the Sussexes’ announced romance adaptations has advanced to production, and there’s no fresh word on their scripted series set in the world of polo. A second industry source told the outlet that long timelines are common for book adaptations, especially when authors are involved in the scripts.

  • Meet Me at the Lake — Adapted from Carley Fortune’s bestseller; in development since August 2023. A director is attached, but their name hasn’t been made public.
  • The Wedding Date — Based on Jasmine Guillory’s hit novel; listed as in development since 2025 .
  • Untitled scripted polo drama — No significant update.

The slowdown lands as Archewell Productions trims staff and after longtime nonfiction head Chanel Pysnik exited. Pysnik helped steer the couple’s hit docuseries Harry & Meghan for Netflix; her departure and the cutbacks add to the uncertainty around what gets made next. Separate reports have also floated the idea of Meghan exploring an on-camera return, but there’s nothing official on that front.

Next stop: Brussels

While the Hollywood side simmers, the pair’s first joint overseas appearance since moving back to Britain is set for Brussels. PEOPLE reports the Duke and Duchess will open the Lost Screen Memorial, an installation created with families in Archewell’s Parents’ Network that uses 50 smartphone screens to display photos of children who died following social media–related harms. The memorial debuted in New York in April 2025 before moving to Geneva in May 2026 .

The couple will give a keynote on children’s digital safety, and Prince Harry is slated to join a panel titled “Beyond Promises: Building a Digital Future That Works for Children.” Their Brussels stop follows an Oct. 15 joint appearance in Nottingham, their first public outing together since relocating to the U.K. in August.

Brussels — November 10.

Between a cautious Netflix slate and a packed advocacy schedule, the Sussexes are splitting time between entertainment plans and public work — with the next date circled on the calendar in Belgium.
