Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid all but RSVP’d to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding, hinting on 96.5 The Drive that the invite is in—and he plans to be there.

Andy Reid basically RSVP'd to the Swift-Kelce wedding without actually saying the words. Classic Reid move: low-key, a dad joke or two, and a reminder that he really, really likes barbecue.

Reid basically confirms he got the invite

On Thursday, May 14, the 68-year-old Chiefs coach dropped in on 96.5's 'The Drive' and got asked the obvious: did the wedding invite land? He played it coy, then let the plan slip. He joked that he probably has the invite and, as long as he doesn't outgrow his tux, he's going. He also got sidetracked by all the barbecue talk on the show and threatened to go grab some, which honestly tracks.

Host Carrington Harrison nudged him to spring for a fresh suit for the big day. Reid kept the spotlight where it belongs and got a little sentimental.

'I'm not the show. I'm just gonna show up. I'm so happy for them. When you come down to it, it doesn't matter how big the show is around them, they're in love and that's the most important thing.'

Where the wedding planning actually stands

  • Engagement: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, both 36, announced it in August 2025 with the very them caption: 'Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.'
  • Taylor's timeline: In October 2025 on The Graham Norton Show, she said the album comes first, then the wedding. She sounded genuinely excited to plan and pointed out the only truly stressful weddings are the tiny ones where people end up on the bubble.
  • Travis's schedule math: In September 2025 on his 'New Heights' podcast, he joked the date depends on the Chiefs' 2026- 2027 slate because, priorities: 'winning football games first.'
  • Guest list and vibe: Rumor is they're doing it this summer. An April Us Weekly cover story had the headcount around 150. Not massive, but expect plenty of famous faces. They supposedly went back and forth on inviting everyone vs. keeping it tight, and as of now they've scaled it down from a giant blowout.
  • Travis on the moment: Earlier this month, golfer Rory McIlroy compared the Masters dinner to the feeling of sitting at your own wedding, surrounded by your people. Travis's response was simple: 'I can't wait.'

No official date yet, but the tea leaves say summer. Either way, if Reid's tux still fits, he'll be there — probably with a plate of ribs waiting for the reception to start.
