2027 on Netflix? Chris Rock teases Grown Ups 3 release window

On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Chris Rock said the third Grown Ups movie is locked in and headed to Netflix next year, adding that the reunion was as much fun to make as fans would expect. He also cracked that he was “extra focused” this time around, joking that he’s not waiting on a Martin Scorsese call at this point in his career.

“We done shooting Grown Ups 3 right now, to be out probably next summer.”

Rock talked about reuniting with Adam Sandler and the returning ensemble, calling the hang “great” and promising the finished movie will be even more fun to watch. The plan, per Rock, is a summer 2027 launch on Netflix.

Misty Green on deck

Beyond the Grown Ups set, Rock walked Fallon’s audience through his passion project Misty Green, where he’s pulling triple duty as writer, director and star. He said juggling those roles has been a challenge and added that he had to personally persuade Daniel Kaluuya to come aboard.

Rock also lightened the segment with a story about hitching a ride on a float during the Knicks’ championship parade — a quick detour into life outside moviemaking that got the studio crowd going.

As for where the new Grown Ups filmed, production set up shop in Turin, Italy, which doubled for Paris on screen. Principal photography was scheduled to wrap on October 28.
