When the new season starts, he wants to actually see how Tim processes what just happened and how the team rallies to get them back. He also would prefer this engagement not end in trauma. After finally getting that beach proposal, he thinks it would be great if the couple makes it out in one piece and keeps building. His hope for season 9 romance- wise: keep it grounded, keep it evolving, and do not rush it just to say you did.
